Campus Workshops

Students looking to learn more about using data and computation in their research can find many sources of workshops and training around campus, including:

  • Digital Scholarship Foundations Program (DiScho). The most recent series was devoted to “…version control, data wrangling, coding templates, web publishing, and more as they transform research into spatial data and build their own interactive map.” Topic varies by semester.
  • A list of upcoming PUL workshops and events related to “data & computation,” “publishing”, or “maps & GIS” is available at this LibCal link
  • Data Driven Social Science hosts their own workshops
  • AI Lab hosts events and workshops. The latter are typically posted in the #announcements channel on their Slack.
  • Research Computing offers workshops and live trainings throughout the academic year and summer.
